Oh Carter. Sweet, sweet Carter. Forever Rookie. WHERE DID THAT MOUTH COME FROM?!?
I had been waiting for Carter Fabri to get his own story, and I was not let down. He is sweet, he is charming, he is funny and he has a back story that made me melt like a snow cone in a hot car.
And Livia? She has been one of my favorite side characters since the first book and HOLY MOLY she may be one of my favorite FMCs of all time.
The two of these together is just ... I don't know what I was expecting but this was not it. I love it when two people who are so totally broken fit together so well that I don't even realize I'm crying till the tears splash on the kindle. This book was magical. It was sexy. It was heart breaking.
With all the hallmarks of a Kandi Steiner book - five star spice, an emotional journey that rivals a trip to Mordor and back, and delicious drama off the ice and on, this is a must read.
