When Callum first meets Peyton, he is absolutely confused but also intrigued for the first time in a long time. While he works as a health inspector, somehow, the two of them keep running into one another. Peyton is having fun running circles around this inspector as they keep seeing each other. It’s not her fault that he keeps showing up to the same job(s) she’s hired for. As their identities become revealed to one another, chaos ensues as they start running into one another in other ways.
I fell in love with Farrah Colson’s world and her writing in Facts and Feelings. When Design and Desire was announced earlier this year, I couldn’t sign-up fast enough. When I found out Keepsakes and Kismet was also coming out this year, I felt absolutely spoiled. Keepsakes and Kismet isn’t like the other two books in the Love and Longing series. While there’s an intensity that sweeps readers right away with childhood friends-to-lovers turn second chance or a fake dating situation, there’s a slower burn that takes place in Callum and Peyton’s story. Yet, somehow that intensity sucks you under without you knowing it somewhere between the fun banter and deeper more emotional moments.
