I love anthropology, Celtic folklore, and magic, so Woman Afraid of Water was right up my alley! The colliding of the 2 worlds of a Celtic tribe in Indiana (Americans, think of the Amish way of life) and those outside their tribe was a bit tough to read with people in too much of a hurry and not caring about the wellbeing of others, eminent domain, greedy land developers, and everything else threatening their way of life. However, I loved the story, the people, the humor, and the magic, so I am very much looking forward to book 2! 5 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
