I really enjoyed Nash and Kira's story! My biggest thought throughout the entire story was JUST COMMUNICATE! So many misunderstandings and hurt feelings could have been avoided if these two had just talked to each other. However, I also realize that's easy for me to say when I have the benefit of reading both of their internal monologues and knowing what each character is thinking and feeling.
The characterization was on point and I loved watching both of them learn and grow. Nash being hyper independent and not allowing anyone in, but learning to lean on his sister and ultimately love was touching. Another highlight for me was Kira's relationship with her family because you could feel the love her parents had for her on the page. Even when she didn't agree with them and they kept trying to force her happiness, you could tell that they had the best of intentions. My only complaint is that I wanted more. There are so many questions and theories, but I have a feeling this isn't the last we've seen of Nash and Kira.
Also, I typically dislike 3rd act breakups, but I will say this one made sense with all the miscommunications. And honestly, that's refreshing because sometimes 3rd act breakups feel like they're thrown in just to create unnecessary drama.
Even when I was frustrated with the characters, I was invested in their relationship and wanted them to figure things out. In the end, I loved their story and cannot wait to see who's story we get next.
