Book: How Freaking Romantic by Emily Harding

Bea, a third year law student, is very protective of her friends and has a strong personality. When her friend Jillian tells her that her estranged husband's divorce attorney is pushing for alimony, Bea storms into Nate Asher's office and tears into him. Imagine her shock when Nate turns out to be the new adjunct professor and her new colleague. This was an unusual romance in that it really delves deep into hard issues. Bea comes off as unlikeable, but as the story moves forward, we see that she has a lot of abandonment issues and is incredibly lonely as well as trying to navigate life changes. I ended up enjoying this one a lot.
