At the start of book 2 we jump straight off from where book 1 finished and we’re thrown right back into the action, so I was hooked immediately!
Whilst I was still intrigued to resolve the mystery aspect of the plot, I did find that as the story went on I wasn’t as invested in the characters as I was in book 1, unfortunately. I actually found myself connecting with the side characters more (I would absolutely devour Lach & Agatha and Halla spin offs! 😍)
Overall the ending was satisfying and I would still recommend this duology to readers who are more patient than me and enjoy a slower pace.
