I'm invested in who is after the Syndicate

Book: Syndicate Fists by Kira Stanley

This definitely felt like a change of pace to the previous book and Nova is a very different character to Aniyah. Nova is an interesting FMC as she is already top of her game but the belief that she has to be strong 100% of the time is something she has to unlearn throughout the book. There is romance as Nova crosses paths with her mates however it takes a back seat to the plot surrounding who is after the Syndicate which had me hooked. I did find elements a little rushed though as the mates are introduced at various stages with one in particular coming onto the scene fairly late on. This was a bit of a shame as he was a total breath of fresh air; I also liked how the brother-mates also had to work on their relationship outwith Nova as none of them knew each other beforehand.

I'm really enjoying seeing the different reasons why the siblings choose to have the mate blocker tattoo done. I was gutted for Nova and you couldn't help but sympathise with her. The relationship between the siblings is my favourite part of the series and although Calix is next, I'm really looking forward to Ezra's book as she is such a force of nature in this series.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
