I was a little lost at the beginning of this book, then I found out there's a prequel and it helps a lot with understanding the background of the story. Without it, I felt like I was missing crucial pieces and was honestly considering DNFing. But I pushed through and I'm so glad I did, because I absolutely loved the story and the banter between our FMC and MMC.
The plot about dark forces was interesting enough to keep me turning pages, and the romance kept me thoroughly entertained. Also, I love ice cream too, so no regrets on that part.
Just keep in mind: for better immersion, I'd recommend reading the prequel first so you don't feel lost from the start.
Overall, I can recommend this as a cute romantic adventure about self-discovery, cozy nights, and how to find yourself completely enthralled by a dragon. And honestly... who doesn't want that?
