Boy meets boy. Boy stalks boy. Boy is investigating boy for serial murder. Tale as old as time.
Honestly, it's my favorite type of story.
Arlo is so severely broken that it's hard not to love him. He has no social skills, he can't read a room, he doesn't know what he's doing when he's not committing horrible crimes. AND YET! He's such a good cat daddy and when he's vulnerable it's easy to forget the Rose Bowl Parade of RED FLAGS he brings with him.
Then there's Jethro who may even MORE emotionally stunted then the serial killer and ... that's not great. He wants to be a detective, he has a royally messed up situationship, and his parents? BIIIIG WOOF! His red flag parade is almost as big as Arlos.
So, of course, their relationship is kind of perfect.
The story here is gory and messed up and that's exactly what I was hoping for.
