I think I just signed up for another series

Book: Of Light and Shadow by Danielle Polselli

Review of advance copy received from author.
Aery, a servant in a household, is on the run from the lord of the manor for committing a crime she had no choice but to commit. Did I mention she sees things in her dreams?
Cullen, a knight in the Order, finds himself miles away from where he should be. Instincts tell him to save the woman he finds collapsed under a tree. Those instincts make him forsake his oath.
Four others, all unknown, are still to be united to defeat the shadow. Will the light prevail?
I don't know yet because I now need the second book, immediately, Danielle.
This may not by the worst cliffhanger in history, but knowing this is only maybe a fourth of the story makes it that much harder to bear.
I absolutely love this. 5 stars. It's different, and very refreshingly does NOT have Fae or dragons. Just two gods, one Dark, one Light, to give it that otherworldly feel.
The characters, the absolutely DEVESTATING emotions (I'm looking at you 50%), the lack of romance in this first book (leaving the unsaid parts sooooo dang sweet). All of it. We get to see our FMC and MMC grow together, shedding their past selves before take on the next part of their journey at the end of the book. We get to see and FEEL the emotions, no matter how heart-wrenching.
I had to stop at 50% to take a day before I could continue on. I sobbed, then my husband came home and I sobbed again telling him about it. Literally getting misty-eyed right now just thinking about it.
I have no other words for this. It was perfection, and I am so incredibly blessed to have been given the chance to read and review this early.
Read this. The emotional devestation is worth it. Now let me go follow Danielle on every platform I can find her so I know when the next book is happening!
Do you think there's room on the street team still?
