I was a sent a complimentary copy with no expectation for a favorable review.
This was a fun read. I hadn't read the first book, but it really didn’t affect my understanding of the plot/story. This is being marketed as having a Dean Winchester MMC, and that's what caught my attention. Logan is very Dean coded, almost too much, but does give a few chuckles. The dynamic with Eléa and their friend group was excellent, really liked the side characters. But Alex, I loved him. The magic system was interesting. There were several surprises and twists that I didn't see coming, overall I think it was a solid 3 for me.
