This book. THIS BOOK.. I thought I loved The Red Room, but then in comes T.A. Cruz with its sequel. This is a series that pulled me in immediately! His writing style captivated me and I couldn’t get enough. I was screaming about this book to everyone months before I even read the book, then as I was reading it I had to tell everyone that they needed to go and get both of the books. The amount of times I sat there mouth open as I was reading scenes faster and faster with my heart racing only to finish it and end up screaming at the pages.
I was so invested in the story and the characters, every time I thought I knew what was going to happen and what direction this was going to take. It’s like a surprise every time I turn the page. There was such a perfect mix of romance, tension, suspense, humor, action, and all the chaos that comes with it. This was such a rollercoaster of emotions when reading this book.
Don't even get me started on these characters!!! Can you say OBSESSED!!!
I don't think I have EVER found an author who was able to portray a more relatable, curvy FMC as Natalia. She is just phenomenal and wait until you see her grow as the story does!
Nikolai Vostik.. the Russian alpha MMC, um how about yes!! I was absolutely hooked on him. It was so hard not to be, the insane chemistry he has with Natalia, the tension.. how he treats her had me eating it up with every page flip.
That doesn't even include some of the main side characters you'll come across that you absolutely can't help falling for.
Every single character just makes it all worth it.
Then the remarks, the humor and little things that came out of some of their mouths that just catch you so off guard that just have you bust a gut.
This book will catch you off guard in so many ways and it will shake you and twist your insides. In every painfully amazing way.
This book took me by surprise and had me screaming into the void and anyone who dared to listen to me after I finished it haha.
Let's be honest, that's how you know it was an amazing book.
T.A. Cruz you absolutely knocked it out of the park with this book, this series.
So if shifter romance is your thing and you like dark and unhinged and books you can't put down that will have you howling at the moon until you can get to the next one. This is a must read. Don't forget to read the first book beforehand though, The Red Room.
