Book: The Weaver's Tapestry by Jessi St. John

The Weaver's Tapestry is the second book in Jessi St John's Death Witch series. Book one, The Weaver's Loom was a phenomenal read, so I went into this with some very high hopes.
This book has a lot more heart and intensity - it's as though every aspect has been cranked to an eleven!
Reading Jessi's writing is akin to stepping back in time to the noise, smell, utter desperation and the ridiculous opulence of Victorian London. You can practically smell the choking scent of the polluted Thames, feel the smog settle on your skin.
Interwoven with all of these sensations is a story full of the mistrust of magic, scheming, and secrets, all with a touch of magic, which felt a little like a bacon of hope in what could have been a dark read.
I will say this straight off the bat, this was somehow even better! Jessi, I don't know how you did it, but MIND.BLOWN! One of the best books I have read this year, and at the time of writing this, I have read over 100 books in 2026. There is something incredibly special when you discover a five star read by an indie author and just know that it will go on to take the book world by storm! I will be at the front of the queue for all of Jessi's future reads, for sure.
This was a super easy five-star award, and I beg you to pick this series up.
