Technomancy??? Freakin’ technomancy?
As someone who loves reading about different magic systems, I was thrilled to see this ExorSquad entry feature technomancy. I was locked in from page one and read Hot Ghost Summer in one sitting!
First, I loved that Hollis Nachtmann was a paranormal expert! It was fun to have someone who (mostly) knew what they were doing and thought Gerald was a twit. And Theo Irving was a perfect bratty, new recruit.
From their first interaction, their chemistry is hot because the dom in Hollis recognizes the brat in Theo. Their relationship was fun, especially as they navigated Hollis’s ghost state and their communication. Theo had me cracking up the entire book, and I especially loved that Brigid was his emotional support cow.
The technomancy bits were absolutely brilliant. I don’t want to go into it in depth to keep it spoiler-free, but seeing how they utilize technology and electricity to solve the haunting is really neat.
It is so cool to see how each author brings their own lore to the ExorSquad world. I absolutely loved Sam’s book in the GriMM Tales series, Rumpelstilzchen , and I was excited to see the German/Austrian ghost lore woven into Hot Ghost Summer.
Also, I still have so many questions about Ted!

I received an advance copy of this book from the author at no charge. This is my honest, voluntary review.
