Holding Ground brings readers to a new small town to fall in love with - Echo Lake. Elliot has been a single dad for the past five years and when Emilia Greene shows up talking about development plans for the town, he is on his guard. As chance would have it, she ends up having to stay on his property for the duration of her visit, which gets a bit complicated when little Baylor forms a friendship.
This is my first time experiencing Piper Rayne and I am grateful that they reached out to me. Holding Ground had me at the edge of my seat and holding my breath while trying to breathe because I fell in hook, line, and sinker. The world of Echo Lake is so beautiful and the storytelling easily flows through. I feel like I blinked and then the story was over. I can’t wait to return to Echo Lake and I look forward to the rest of this series.
