My flabbers were gasted! This might go down as one of my favorite debuts and definitely one of the best I’ve read in a long time!
Vilas has never been interested in more than a quick lay to blow off steam until he gets robbed by a human presenting thief. After their first meeting, he can’t stop thinking about or looking for her. Brushes with death and a common enemy keep pulling them together. Together with some of their closest allies, they set off to try and stop the enemy.
I was hooked by chapter 3. Who is the mysterious thief who puts him in his place so easily? Why does he feel drawn to her? What is she? The world may never know… unless you finish the book and find out! 😂
This book had it all. Stakes. TRAUMA. Interesting characters. Creatures to haunt your nightmares. Banter. I was teeing my little hees every time she called him Reginald with a witty comeback. Truly a well rounded 5 star read for me and I can’t WAIT to read book 2!
