This is definitely the funniest of the Outlaw series yet. But I think that happens when you combine a man and a woman who have been best friends for more than half their lives with regularly going on tour and working together in close proximity. There is not much Josh and Charlotte don't share with each other.
They met in high school and became friends pretty quickly. The scenes of them from back then are sweet and oh so familiar. Who hasn't dealt with unrequited love as a teen?
Fast forward to the present and we find two best friends who find themselves as the last single holdouts of their found family group. So of course let's add benefits to the equation! I liked the way Josh takes such good care of Charlotte, he doesn't rush anything. They both have a healthy respect for their relationship, and that makes a difference in how they are able to navigate the new aspect with minimal issues.
As things get more complicated, I love how they handle things as they come. They don't immediately jump to ending things when something gets hard. I loved the band's reactions to finding out what is going on between them. It's the way family supports each other.
And throughout, the humor in this book keeps it un-put-down-able. I will never look at a diva cup the same way (especially after the bonus epilogue!).
I recommend this book for anyone who likes a rockstar, second chance romance with a lot of heart and a ton of laughs.
