My Thoughts:
First of all, both of these narrators are absolutely amazing. The audio was captivating and the banter was hilarious. I loved how both narrators brought the characters to life.
"I should not be so attracted to this man. Especially since he hates me and thinks I'm out to get him."
I can't believe I have missed out on this series until now. This is a standalone in an interconnected series. All of the characters and supporting characters are so relatable, so engaging and I just want to read the whole series now!
"This woman is a handful. Probably two of them. Keeping her out of trouble is going to take a hell of a lot of effort, but I think I'm up to the task."
The relationship between Sybil and Walker is pure gold. She is so sassy and hilarious and he is so uptight and routinized...but they absolutely work. Their strengths and weaknesses work so well together.
Seeing as this is a bit of a mystery storyline we get to see the way the characters act under stress, and they are just perfect for each other.
I highly recommend this book, especially if you can get your hands on the audio. 5 ⭐!
