Blood Slaves was a journey. Blood Rising is an experience.
The continued story of Kwadzo, Rafazi, and the uprising on the Crimson Plantation takes us to new heights of conflict, internal and external, introduces us to new villains, and new co-conspirators.
Everything about this book kept me engaged. The prose is incredible, the characters are richly complicated and engaging, and the world building is truly beautiful.
The twists and turns in this chapter of the Blood Saga had my jaw on the floor. Redmond absolutely blew my mind with the complexities of the relationships among these characters and the fall out of their decisions.
