THE REREAD WAS EVEN MORE EMOTIONALLY DEVASTATING THAN THE FIRST READ THROUGH.
It's 2am the day Burn of the Everflame releases, 3 years after I read this the first time. I can barely see my screen through my tears. Perthe is dead. His death was the most noble, most honorable, second most heart wrenching of the series.
I don't know how to feel. I have at least 2 more hours before I can start Burn, and I am destroyed.
I have no words past utter devastation, loss, and desperation.
100% recommend. You haven't lived until you've read this book, this series, this author.
I will be decompressing while I wait for the final masterpiece to be available to me. My heart hurts.
