Tropes: enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, hidden secrets, psychological thriller
I was lucky enough to check out the audiobook version of Head Under Water before anyone else. This book's a romance story with a bit of mystery mixed in. Opal's the main FMC. Following the death of her mother's best friend, she returns to her hometown. While coming to terms with the death, she has to confront her feelings toward the man she has despised since she was young. Throughout the story, mysterious events occur and secrets come to light. Fans of romantic psychological thrillers who enjoy audiobooks will really appreciate this one. The narrator was excellent and maintained my interest in the story. I don't typically choose psychological thrillers, but this one was excellent. The story captivated me immediately from the beginning .
