Book: Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door by Lucy Score

Did I accidentally sign up for a book 5 ARC in a series I haven’t read before? Uh huh. Did I immediately add books 1 through 4 to my TBR and start listening to them? Uh huh, I sure did. And you know what?

No regrets.

This was so much fun I can’t even stand myself. I love, love, love Riley Thorne. I love her kooky elderly roommates, hot Nick the PI, Gabe the spiritual advisor, Wander her granola crunchy sister, and her batshit crazy parents. I love them ALLLLL.

This was an absolute blast to listen to. And that wholly goes to the amazing and incredible Natalie Duke. This woman is a damn miracle. Her voices, the snotty comeback tones between Nick and literally everyone… I choked on beverages far too many times to count. Her voice is forever Riley Thorne for me and I love it. Hats off to you Natalie. You are incredible!

This one gets 5 tarot cards from me. Absolutely incredible audiobook, please do yourself a favor and listen to this one when you need to escape into someone else’s crazy chaotic life for a while.

Also funny story, I had no idea Lucy Score was Madison Score’s sister, so now I get it. You all could maybe kinda sorta leave some writing talent in the gene pool for the rest of us? Please? Pretty please? (Also, if you have not read Madison Score’s Wild About You, you absolutely have to because zoo daddy and lumbersnack are vocab words you definitely need in your lexicon!)
