Halloween Town

I loved Summerween, but Halloween Town fell a little short of the mark for me.

I didn't feel as invested or connected with the main characters, Poppy and Thom, and at times, even found the FMC a bit too irksome, I didn't buy into Poppy's feelings for Thom happening as quickly as they did.

There wasn't enough connection to the town as book one, and I think this helped me enjoy the first more. This just felt a little too isolated and the characters weren't strong enough to carry the story.

My favourite character is still Luna who continues to give me 'The Good Witch' vibes. Always knowing what characters need before they even have a hint of it themselves, her pushy, but good-natured ways. I love her.

I'm excited for book 3, and hope this one gives me a little more connection to all aspects of H-Town.

Furthermore, I'd like to thank Harper Collins UK and Netgalley for giving me a chance to read an early copy of this book.

All opinions are my own.
