Teagan Hunter usually keeps us rinkside, so stepping out of the NHL spotlight and into a cidery was such a fun shift. And listen—I hope Stick Taps becomes a permanent hangout in future books, because I am not ready to let that place go.
The banter between Noah and Odette crackles from the very first page. It’s never a question of if they’ll get together, only when . And when they finally do? Explosive—but also unexpectedly soft. The quiet moments matter just as much: couch cuddles, shared looks, and time spent with Pork & Beans (IYKYK) are what truly sell them as a couple.
I love a grump, so Noah had me immediately—helped along by his inability to deny his sister anything and the surprisingly tender heart under all that scowling. And Odette? A powerhouse. Ultra-feminine, fiercely capable, and absolutely unafraid to get her hands dirty. The hot pink toolbox moment sealed it for me. Noah never stood a chance.
As expected, Teagan knocked it out of the park. I’m already impatient for whatever she gives us next.
