This one picks up right where book 3 left off. We are in the thick of it, with the recent death of Morpheus Calloway and our girl, Jules is the primary suspect! Jules is back safe finally with her guys (The Scorpion Kings) and now they have to focus on finding out who is framing her and how to survive till then.
This series has been a wild ride and I have loved very minute of it. Lucy does a phenomenal job of creating these immersive worlds and characters. I was hooked from the first book and first chapter. The Scorpion Kings - Nolan, Lex & Gio are a force to be reckoned with and I absolutely loved the found brotherhood these guys had with each other but also their deep love and obsessive need to protect Jules at all times. In this final book we got a deeper dive into the connections between all 4 of these characters. You find that they will do anything to clear Jules's name in an effort to settle their lives and get through graduation, so they can leave their old lives behind and start a new life together.
My favorite SK was Nolan, even though I loved all of them there was just something about Nolan that pulled on my heart strings and when he called her "princess", it just sent me The plot twist at the end of this series, I did not expect and I nearly had my heart leap out of my chest when Jules does something that she has no control of! If you love Why Choose, Contemporary dark romances with obsessed MMC's and a Fierce FMC with all the action and spice you can handle, then this is the series for you. Do you dare to step into the world of the Scorpion Kings? I promise they don't bite....much!
