I enjoyed reading A Borrowed Dream, the second book in Amanda Cabot's Cimarron Creek trilogy. This one focused on Catherine, the schoolteacher and cousin of Travis, from the first book. In this book, Catherine befriends a widower, Austin, who has just bought a ranch outside of town. His six-year-old daughter is withdrawn and Catherine is determined to help him restore Hannah to her usually bubbly self. Austin is drawn to Catherine, but is worried that a man from his past will come back to harm those he loves.
One of the things I love most about Amanda Cabot's books is that she doesn't shy away from tough topics, but weaves them into her stories in a way that is powerful. I'm looking forward to the final book in this trilogy.
