Great omegaverse read

Book: Vali: The Lost Lines Collection by Merri Bright

I am loving this refresh of Vali's story released in a new omnibus edition. This was one of my first omegaverses and I am sucker for Merri Bright's alphas! Vali is such a sweet character you can't help but be charmed by her. She's naïve, has a heart of gold and the fact she is clumsy made me like her even more. I loved how she had an excuse ready for every time the sheets got mixed up! Her relationship with Axe was probably my favourite on them all. The absolute tenderness hidden behind the executioner mask had me kicking my feet.

I'm a Rigol girl even if he was the worst to start with. My all time favourite is Gavriel from Feather's series and I definitely feel like these two are the same type of guy, different font, so that tracks for me! Selene, however, is an absolute viper. There was genuine tension with Selene's plotting and I couldn't wait for her karma to catch up although I did really enjoy her plotline as a twist on OWD. It's almost a five star for me however I felt that the twins never really had the same time to shine as Axe, Vilkurn and Rigol. The ongoing misunderstanding about the dress did make me laugh though!

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
