This is my second book in this three book series. (Oops! Still haven’t read book 1 🫣 and I definitely need to remedy that pretty soon 🙂↕️), and I had just as much of a good time with this one as I did the last one.
This time we get self-proclaimed “slut” of the core friend group, Arya, and cute as a button cellist, Ben. And I loved the both of them so much!
Their one night stand was a bit more than a quick fling in the Vineyard; they also opened up a lot about themselves, with a kind of instant comfort they found in one another even though they were virtually strangers.
I felt for Arya, who didn’t have the best parental role models growing up, of what a healthy, loving relationship could look like, and he just didn’t think that could ever be for him.
I loved how open Ben was immediately to a new relationship with this man, even after coming off a heartbreaking previous one. (And THAT guy? 😖 Not a fan!)
I also loved how kind of “easy” they went from Fake Dating to Not Fake Dating, even though I knew it couldn’t be that easy…but I loved how it all worked out in the end.
Such a great ending for all three of these couples. I’m already looking forward to what Adib has up next!
Audiobook notes: Both new to me narrators, and I enjoyed them both. I will say, I thought both their voices were maybe a bit too similar, as in when I’d restart the audio in the middle of a chapter, I couldn’t pick up immediately who’s POV I was in, but it wouldn’t take me long to figure it out. Otherwise, I thought they both did a great job.
