Bright Burns the Flame (BBtF) follows our FMC Lory, and the trials that she must endure to survive. After the death of her brother, she remained a street ray, fending for herself as best as she could. Until, she was caught by the Guard. The rest is her story to tell.
I genuinely loved this book. I had seen so much hype for it, and when I joined the ARC team, everyone kept talking about how good it was going to be. Not only that, but I couldn't agree more. I love that there's a bit of everything; political themes, trials, war college, magic users, and so much more.
If you loved Xaden, because he teetered on the edge of villain, then you will LOVE Falcrest. The main difference, is that he's far more ruthless. He also doesn't have a dragon, but that's okay. We still love him.
This is the first book I've read by Steffort, and I have to say that I am pleased with the world she has built. From all I've read about her books, they're in a huge metaverse, and reading this definitely makes me want to go and read the others in this universe.
This book left me wanting more, and I love that since it is part of a bigger universe that I have the option to go and explore more characters outside this story in the same concept. This is 100% a 5🌟 read for me. I cannot wait for the following books!
