This book doesn’t just deserve 5 stars, it deserves a bloody standing ovation.
It’s currently 7am and I’ve not slept because I just couldn’t stop listening to this book. Then despite being exhausted I had to write this review straight away. Partly because I needed to write it before I forget everything I’ve just heard but also because I want everyone else to listen to this audiobook and love it as much as I did.
This book literally has everything I look for in a romcom. It has characters with depth, emotional storylines, beautiful friendships, lots of spice, laugh out loud humour and of course, the all important HEA. If that’s not enough to convince you to listen, it’s narrated by my favourite duet. Wren and Kai could bring reading the back of a cornflake packet to life. In fact, it’s so funny I woke my poor dog up more than once I was laughing so hard. I would love a peek inside Sophie’s head as it’s seriously messed up, when she writes lines like dinosaur fan fic and goldfish graveyard, I bet she makes the most mundane conversations interesting with her left field thought processes.
If I’m being honest, I started the book quite cross. I literally wanted to throttle Camden for being such an arrogant arse!!! Thankfully, he more than redeems himself as the book goes on and I ended up falling a little bit in love with him. Aswell as all the amazing things I have already mentioned, Sophie references both one of my favourite films,10 Things I Hate About You and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I was in literally heaven.
