Ginormous thank you to Tantor Media and Netgalley for the advance listening copy of this book. All my opinions are my own and freely given.
Um excuse me? Excuse me! I need all of you to hear this. This book… this book right here, you need this book to be read RIGHT FREAKING NOW! Right now. I am not kidding.
This book snuck up on me and smacked me so thoroughly upside the head I am now concussed. I… do not have words for this book. Savannah Thomas narrated this gem, and I swear to you fam, she’s got like seven people living in her vocal chords. There’s no way that’s just one person. It is. It’s just her, out here, absolutely SLAYING this book. Every single character came alive in my head, her voices for each character so distinct that I didn’t need to follow along with the book. I was right there, next to everyone, experiencing it in real time with Savannah Thomas as she read this masterpiece of a book.
Now, let’s talk about Masha Sova. How in all the world is this her first book? HOW? Because ma’am, if you could please leave some talent for the rest of us. Just scraps would be fine. A little? Because this book…this book made me feel ALLLLL the feelings. I was downtrodden, ashamed, enraged, vicious, INFURIATED, and vengeful. I went through a whole metamorphosis for this book. Masha Sova, you are a goddess. That was INCREDIBLE. I am sat. You have my full attention for the sequel of this book, please and thank you.
Five very, very red roses for the sheer perfection that is Godbound and its narrator, Savannah Thomas. Incredible. RUN and read/listen to this now. It is life-changing. The audiobook comes out Nov 10, and you NEED it. You need it. Just go ahead and pre-order. I’ll wait, because it’s something you absolutely can not miss.
