i really don't know what i expected going into this book. it sure as heck wasn't what i got, which was ABSOLUTE AMAZINGNESS.
seriously like. i don't even know haha, I DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE WORDS. It was blissfully short, like that shot of dopamine that you need while everything is going insane, and I swear I didn't breathe or move through half of it.
this one really got me from the first two words. like literally. read those and was like alright y'all giddy up (those aren't them...) D. R. Barnes knows what they're doing.
if you're looking something that will give you all the swoops, that is wildly steamy, that has you unable to put it down, this is that book.
if you want representation in places that it isn't, if you want a real-life look at rodeos, if you want love that comes from knowing one another but is still totally unexpected? this is that book.
i'm wildly sad there aren't MORE western contemporary mm romances out there, so if y'all know of any SEND THEM MY WAY.
