Going into this read, I was intrigued by the thought of suspense (maybe a mystery) but ended up hooked immediately with the Grumpy Grayson and the Sunshine that Harper brought into his world. As well as the family dynamics of the rest of the Stone more siblings.
Immediately, I could see them all individually, their own quirks, pasts and current situations all ebbing and flowing. Though, I will still say that Grandma Corky is my favourite. She doesn't give a fig what anyone tells her. A favourite scene of mine with her was when she got the Polaroid camera out. I was cackling for ages after.
Now the suspense. I was wondering on who it was, and I kept wanting to figure it out (like a mystery) but was engrossed with the rest of the story, and I didn't mind at all, but was floored at the climax. Mentally screaming at Harper to not.
This was a great read, I didn't want to put it down, nor did I want it to end. Now I really want the next one.
