Thank you to the author for providing an ARC!

Anthony, the last member of the Jilted Exes’ Club, isn’t looking for love. He’s perfectly content teaching dance, performing at the club he secretly owns, and hanging out with his friends… especially his new friend Kason, a professional hockey player. Anthony is undeniably attracted to him, but after a manipulative ex and an estranged family, he’s convinced that friendship is all he has to give.

Kason is crushed when he realizes Anthony never thought they were dating, despite all the dates Kason thought they were going on. Determined to show Anthony what real love looks like, he sets out to be the best boyfriend Anthony has ever had. And once Anthony agrees to give him a chance, Kason does everything in his power to prove their relationship is worth the risk.

I definitely felt at a disadvantage not having read the earlier books. Anthony’s backstory with his awful ex, Malcolm, and the origins of the Jilted Exes’ Club would’ve added even more depth to his hesitation. Because honestly… who wouldn’t want to date a super-hot, sensitive, caring hockey player unless they’d been seriously hurt?

Anthony is incredibly easy to love: the joy he finds in dancing, his humility about owning a business, his humor, and his huge heart. I especially adored that he teaches kids who otherwise couldn’t afford lessons. It made perfect sense why Kason was willing to move slowly, knowing Anthony needed time, patience, and gentleness to heal. Watching Anthony’s emotional journey was genuinely rewarding.

I’m definitely adding the previous books to my TBR. Donovan and Eric were adorable here, and I need their full story.
