I went into this book not having read the first one, and I was still able to follow along with the plot pretty well.
With that being said, I enjoyed reading this so much! The forbidden aspect(boyfriends best friend/bodyguard) was played out really well in how it was justified, so it really didn’t feel like straight-up cheating.
The banter between Lance and Ginny was excellent, and I looved the tension between the two. Oh, and their nicknames for eachother "Champ" and "Half-pint? SO adorable!
The plot felt like it was really paced out well and you knew what was going to happen then BAM plot twist! A perfect one I never saw coming, I'm hoping there is more to this so we can see those loose ends tied up.
