Holy Flames.
Angelina J. Steffort does it again. I am truly at a loss for words. The writing, the TENSION, the /plot/. I was so entranced with the story that I stopped annotating at some point.
At the end of BBtF, I was devastated. I didn't know what to expect from Red Runs the Blood. And now, at the end of RRtB, I am left shocked, and desperate for more.
You truly feel with the characters in RRtB, and you get to see a side of them you didn't expect. There were so many twists and little hidden things that were sprinkled throughout the book that didn't click until later in the story. But when they did, it was an OMG moment.
One of my favorite things so far, has been that it honestly feels like we are learning about some things along with the characters; as they are discovering things that their history has forgotten about, so are we. Maybe that doesn't make sense, but that's how it feels for me.
I am so excited to continue on with this series. I will absolutely pick up more of her books and read them as well. Not only that, but I received this book as an ARC copy; thank you to Angelina for the opportunity to read and review this book. You have definitely found an instant reader in me!
Please check the trigger warnings before picking this book up. It does deal with some heavier topics.
