Book: Break the Ice by Kristen Bailey

This is the second book I’ve read by Kristen Bailey, after Big Nick Energy, and I think I might have enjoyed this one even more.
I loved the chemistry between Phoebe, an events planner, and Joshua, an American she meets on Christmas Eve when he helps her deliver Steve the dog to her family in Devon.
The characters are all so likeable. Phoebe is chaotic and spontaneous, while Joshua is geeky, reserved and recovering from a broken heart. I loved the banter between them, which made the first part of the book so much fun. The second half, after their journey, wasn’t quite as engaging for me, but I still enjoyed watching them slowly fall for each other.
Overall, this was an easy, fun read with a lovely festive feel which I would highly recommend.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
