I jumped into this series having not read the first two but a stalker-off had me intrigued. Hailey knows about one of them and is actively not discouraging it but is unaware of the second. Hailey is also an ex-jewellery thief whose past is catching up to her in the form of her ex, Liam.
If you love forced proximity, you'll enjoy this as the majority of the plot takes place over a 10 day imprisonment orchestrated by my favourite new villain Marlena. She is a lot of fun; absolutely off her rocker, but good fun.
Although I enjoyed the book, the pacing was a bit hit and miss for me. Not a lot happens in the 10 days in the cabin beyond all the reconnecting and when the action started it felt a bit rushed in comparison. I would have loved to have seen the heist even as a flashback, to give an idea of what Liam and Hailey were like before. Knox and Hailey definitely felt more established and I needed a bit more of Liam to round it out. I did like the tension between him and Knox though; probably even more so that between him and Hailey.
It was an engaging read overall and I'm keen to go back and read book one and two; I am dying for a spin off with Marlena and Viktor though!
