Book: Thighs and Prayers by Kat Blackthorne

Kat Blackthorne is one of those writers who can write the most filthy, dirty, blasphemous scene you've ever read and you're still thinking about how beautiful the prose is as well as how hot it is. Because - truly, Kat has skills.
A hauntingly beautiful gothic mystery, wrapped around a sapphic love story, with a whole heaping helping of blasphemy and queer joy - this story contains multitudes. Every single aspect is beautifully written, wonderfully woven together, and creates a vibrant world that was so easy to get lost in.
Sister Jezebella and the Sisters of The Altar Church of Lost Souls, their parishioners, and the happenings of the forest beyond their town sucked me in to their lives, their relationships, and their
mysteries and I cannot wait for everyone else to get to know them ... intimately.
Full of some of the most sinful sexy times, and some of the sweetest moments of connection and female empowerment and bonding - I loved every single page.
As a lapsed catholic, the religious imagery, iconography, and themes were like an acid trip back to catholic school at times but, like, in the good way. If you have a lot of religious trauma, this book could be one you love and find healing or one you are just not quite ready for so read with caution.
