This book had incredible momentum, emotional payoff, and some of the strongest plot development in the series so far. I devoured it in two days.
The rebellion finally comes into focus, and I loved watching Thea and Wren each reconnect with their sister, Anya. That reunion was long overdue and deeply satisfying.
Thea’s year of chasing Hawthorne was such a strong start to the book. While their reunion felt a bit too easy after everything, I still think there’s more between them. The Furies hinted at a bond or something fated, and I’m convinced it’s not over.
The Great Rite was brutal and unforgettable, and now Thea is off to rescue Wilder from the Scarlet Tower with Talemir, whose reveal as the Shadow Prince still managed to surprise me, even though I suspected it.
The cliffhanger was intense, and I’m already diving into book four.
