A fast paced fantasy book with unique magic systems, an engaging story, and interesting characters. The FMC is determined and driven and trying to find answers beyond the veil. She finds herself drawn to her two male companions and they develop relationships. This is such an interesting example of why choose. Both males agree that they love the heroine enough to not make her choose and to just make her happy. The bantering and fighting between the two male characters was amazing and I loved their relationship.
The story was fast paced and well developed. The characters and the journey they were going on would be perfect for fans of D&D. The author steeps the story in celtic mythology and rich worldbuilding with gods and half gods. The themes of the story include fate versus free wilk and that gods do not care about the lives of humans.
