Book: Her Feral Beasts by E.P. Bali

This is an excellent full cast production and a must listen for any why choose fan. I can't pick a favourite (I mean, if I had to, its a dead heat between Ryan Lee Dunlap and Sean Masters) as the performances are all really strong with plenty of POV chapters besides the FMC to get to know the characters.

This book picks up after the prequel with Aurelia sequestered at Animus Academy awaiting trail for a crime she didn't commit, whilst also trying to avoid her fated mates who are trying to hunt her down (and not in a good way). Aurelia goes through a lot having been the apple of her dad's eye until she wasn't when her anima emerged, then being ostracised for most of her life because of it. The mystery of what Aurelia is drives a lot of the plot and her loneliness made my feel so sad for her as pushes people away to keep them safe but without them knowing the half of it, including her mates.

I really liked the drama; it made sense why Aurelia was avoiding her mates but honestly I was rooting for Savage from the get go. Even more so after the introduction of Eugene. Scythe is my type normally but Savage won me over with his charming attempts at not-courting and he brought some humour in amongst all the angst. Xander is at the bottom of the pile but there is definitely more to him than meets the eye. The trail made me rage at the injustice of it all but I loved the conflict of the bargain the guys had struck; it kept me guessing until the end as to how that would be resolved.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
