Annie is a true rom-com aficionado. She has spent her life waiting for her rom-com to come to life, along with her very own Tom Hanks (the epitome of rom-com heroes). When she gets the opportunity to work as the director's assistant on an actually romantic comedy movie in her hometown, she believes her "movie" is about to begin. However, real life is never like the movies. I really enjoyed this book. I loved all of the references to romantic comedies (really wish there was a list of them at the end of the book!) and thought the story was really on point. I will admit that I wanted to shake Annie a few times and tell her to wake up and grow up, but I think that's kind of the point of the story. I really would love to see this as a movie!
