4.5🌟 2 5🌶 A huge shoutout to LoveNotes PR and Mimi Gunn for allowing me to read this book! It was definitely a surprise. There is so much story in this book. There's mystery, suspense, thriller, and love. It's written extremely well and has a couple of great spicy scenes. Colette really was an interesting character, and so was Marshall. Their chemistry was noticeable from the beginning, and I love the direction it went. Colette's friends really are great for her, and I love how they are so supportive. Marshall's family and the farm. It definitely gets dicey when Colette is brought onto the farm to help with finances after the previous accountant "up and vanished" to Mexico, or at least that's what is being said. Definitely called the villain from the get-go, don't ask me how I knew, but I knew. Really interested to find out what happens next in the series. Hopefully, we find out what happened to/where Agnes is. And from the tidbit at the end, it appears Evan will be our MMC in the next book! Can't wait!
