"Sacred are the songs of our secrets."
I’ll admit, the prologue was a lot to take in at first, but I am SO glad I kept reading. Once this story got its hooks in me, I couldn't put it down. This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year.
THE PLOT
Enya Ryerson has lived her whole life raising horses (shoutout to Arawelo, the feisty mare who stolen my heart!) with her father, where her only real concern was dodging his attempts to choose a husband for her. But everything changes in the blink of an eye. Enya is thrust into a life-altering journey she never asked for, discovered to have a "godsung" gift, and finds a price placed on her head.
When she is saved by Oryn and his brothers, everything she knew about the world is turned upside down.
THE CHARACTERS
Enya: A stubborn, sassy FMC with an affinity for a bow. She is a rare Silverbow, and watching her discover the secrets of her past while dodging the King’s men was so compelling.
Oryn: The ultimate grumpy demi-elf. Enya likens him to a gargoyle, and I am obsessed with him. He’s guarded and mysterious, but the "touch her and die" vibes are off the charts.
THE ROMANCE
The chemistry between Enya and Oryn is beyond electric. It’s a slow burn done perfectly—the kind of connection that feels inevitable but keeps you on the edge of your seat.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The world-building is rich, the secrets are deep, and the ending... let's just say I was NOT expecting that. The cliffhanger left me absolutely reeling. I cannot wait for Book 2!
