Book: Pretty Savage by Lexi Davis

Pretty Savage is the second book in Lexi Davis’ The Order series — a dark college romance packed with secret societies, morally black men, obsession and an outsider FMC who has found herself firmly tangled in their dangerous world.
This series covers some very dark subject matter, so I definitely recommend checking the trigger warnings before diving in.
First things first: can we take a moment to appreciate the book one recap?! 👏 Seriously, this needs to become the norm for series, especially when there’s a gap between releases. My questionable memory and ever-growing TBR thank you, Lexi!
Pretty Savage picks up exactly where book one left us: Laurel has been kidnapped, Carrson is rapidly losing his mind trying to find her, and his father, Carr, has made a rather unexpected return.
Thankfully, Laurel is soon back where Carrson believes she belongs — with him. But her return is really only the beginning of their problems.
Laurel and Carrson are very much in love and preparing to be bonded, a ceremony that will officially recognise Laurel as belonging to Carrson and place her under his protection. Given that Laurel isn't a member of the society herself, that protection is becoming increasingly important.
And Carrson? Well... obsessed doesn't quite cover it.
The man is OBSESSED with Laurel. Touch her, threaten her, breathe suspiciously in her general direction and Carrson is probably already deciding which of your limbs you can live without. Morally grey? Absolutely not. We've sailed straight past grey and into pitch black — and I'm not complaining.
There is A LOT happening in Pretty Savage, but the fast pacing kept me flying through it. We delve deeper into The Order, its creation and the lore behind its traditions, while also learning more about Carr and Rebecca. And, just to make sure things aren't getting too comfortable, there's a pretty life-changing revelation waiting for Laurel too.
Then we hit that final quarter...
PEDAL. TO. THE. METAL.
The revelations, danger and drama just keep coming, culminating in yet another absolute doozy of a cliffhanger.

HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US AGAIN?!
Needless to say, I need the next book. Preferably yesterday.
