I now understand why everyone said they were going to need therapy after reading this. I about threw my kindle at the end of Chapter 25!!
Ellie, Ellie, Ellie...... my heart feels so much for that girl! Grief really can affect someone in a myriad of ways. Ellie, ER nurse, meets Matt Anderson, Hockey Star. Only thing is, she didnt know who he was when she met him, or even propositioned him to be a "practice buddy" or "C.F.B."s. Matt realizes real quick that he isn't ok with this buddy situation and is beginning to catch feelings. Feelings Ellie has stated she doesnt exactly want. Of course the two fall in love, and it takes until the most dramatic part of the book for Ellie to admit she loves him as well.
Willa, for this being the first book I've read by you,I will say you are going to be an insta-buy/insta-read author from now on! I had my partner giving me weird looks cause of how I was going on about this book! Going into my Best Reads of 2026 for sure!
