"I look at you, Linden, and I'm grateful to be alive."

When I read the blurb of the book, I didn’t expect it to be like this, like at all.

The amount of swooning that happened to me during this book is insane. Dr. Grant has my heart, fully!

Linden is a resident doctor who’s so deep in debt she doesn’t know where to think about any of it. When one of her colleagues tells her how she paid off her loans, she dismisses the idea, because an app to meet people to have sex and get paid for it is a crazy idea for Linden. But the temptation was too real. She signs up, and a very handsome man requests her presence who has the body of the infuriating hot man that has been occupying her thoughts.

When she ends up at his door, she’s in for the surprise of her life. It’s (drum rolls 🥁)

"I dreamed about this, Linden. About you."

Dr. Grant AAAAAAAAA

Grumpy, asshole, and mean to everyone, just my type.
Dr. Grant lacks the tendency to be nice to human beings 🤣

So one night, after a tiring shift and too many wine glasses, he gets on the app and requests someone that looks exactly like the resident that he can’t keep his mind off of (no, there are no faces), and well, when he opens the door, turns out it’s actually her (I AM SO HERE FOR THIS SCORCHING HOT TEA)

He slams the door in her face, guys 🧍🏻‍♀️😭

Next day, the app management calls her and tells her that he wants her exclusively for three months (even after he canceled the appointment and slammed the door in her face, talk about whiplash 😂)

“There will be other fellowships, but there's only one Linden. I want to be with you. I want this. I want you."

What I absolutely loved:

How real Linden is. She was always the nicest, always there for everyone, and sacrificing her happiness for others. When she teaches Grant how to be nicer to people, he also teaches her how to stand up for herself, and that just shows how they both rubbed off on each other.

Grant being misunderstood might be cliché, but I was so here for it. Everyone around him didn’t like him until Linden starts getting closer to him. He reads her favorite historical romance books, works on her garden that her grandma always loved, and plants sunflowers because they are her favorites, teaches her how to swim to overcome her phobia/trauma, HE GETS A TATTOO ON HIS HEART FOR HERRRR!

And how can I forget the chemistry they had!!
So freaking sizzling, I just know if these two were in a room, the temperature would go up 🌶️🤭

Grant’s siblings were a whole vibe 🤣🤣
I loved when they teased him. It showed that he was actually human 😂

And the great revelation that Grant has been obsessed with her for much more than we all thought 🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️🧎🏻‍♀️
Man was yearning since the first day he saw her.

I surprisingly didn’t mind that this book was told from just one POV (the FMC) because I’m so used to dual POV.
