The Route to You gave me everything I wanted from an emotional second-chance romance: unresolved history, forced proximity, complicated feelings, healing, and chemistry that never truly disappeared.
Sloan runs from her wedding after discovering her fiancé’s betrayal and finds herself hiding with Kyle, the man whose heart she broke in college. Snowed in together, they have no choice but to face their past and everything they’ve carried since losing each other.
I loved that this story didn’t treat love as an instant cure. Sloan’s grief and emotional pain were handled with care, and her journey toward recognizing that the world would not be better without her was incredibly moving.
Kyle had his own hurt to work through, which made their second chance feel earned instead of easy. And Granny absolutely stole my heart. Her wisdom was fierce, honest, and exactly what both Sloan and Kyle needed to hear.
A beautiful story about forgiveness, survival, self-worth, and finding your way back to the sun. Five stars!
