We meet Ludi and wonder why she is the way she is. She’s chaotic and mouthy and sassy. She pushes buttons and kicks ass. You love her instantly. Worry about her sanity often but love her anyway.
Kaiser is one you HATE. You instantly want to throat punch him and then pin him to a chair with a sword through the nuts. But you end up loving him. He makes you melt.
The Blackwater Crew is a family. You see those bonds throughout. But you also see those bonds grow and include Ludi.
This is probably the only time I have LITERALLY kicked my feet during a book.
